Caring For Those Who Care For Others

Who cares for the caregivers?

As a director or soul care practitioner, you’ve probably asked yourself this question at least once in your vocational life.

But where can you go to find support, to find someone who understands the challenges that are unique to the ministry of soul care?

In addition to the resources, supervision and consultation here at Anam Cara Abbey, there are a number of dedicated and caring soul-care practitioners who know what it means to be a spiritual director in need of support.

Over the next weeks, I’ll be spotlighting a few of my favorite organizations in order to help you find the places and resources that fit with you, your practice and your walk with God.

Today’s Spotlight:

The Soul Care Institute from Abbey of the Arts – Christine Valters Paintner is a friend and an inspiration. Her new Soul Care Institute is focused on supporting soul care practitioners in a on-going practice of self-care and continuing education.
